Control Voltage Converter (CVC)
The Haken Audio CVC is built for instruments that feature the EaganMatrix Sound Engine.
We’ve created a hi-res Control Voltage Converter to fully exploit the fast data rates and ranges of the Continuum, ContinuuMini, and EaganMatrix Module. A single CVC provides 16 control voltages (4 voices), or two CVCs together provide 32 control voltages (8 voices), on 3.5 mm TS jacks.
ExpressiveE Osmose: The current Osmose firmware supports only the Classic 1/4” TS versions of the CVC; future Osmose firmware will also support this new 3.5mm TS CVC.

Each analog output of the Haken Audio CVC has 16-bit resolution, 256 times the precision of standard 8-bit converters.
The CVC is designed to translate every nuance of your performance into control voltage, giving you an accurate connection to your analog synths without unwanted smoothing or artifacts.

The CVC can be programmed via the Haken Editor to create entirely custom control voltages; up to 8 control voltages can be defined for a voice, integrating formula math, shape generators, delays, and other EaganMatrix functionality into your analog performance.

Compatibility
The Haken Audio CVC is designed only for compatibility with the EaganMatrix Sound Engine. The sound engine is connected directly to the CVC using an i2c protocol, avoiding Midi altogether. The CVC is specifically made for the Continuum, ContinuuMini, and EaganMatrix Module; the CVC will not work with any other device.
